1) SEO: Google published a 22-page long pdf guide on SEO for beginners. There’s nothing new there if you are a pro, but since Google are the ones who control SEO on the web, you should probably print and read.
2) Design: Smash Magazine notes the design trends in newspaper and magazine sites. Good read.
3) Play: Meet Tredoku – a new version variant of sudoku. Brian Berman created a 3D version of the popular game and positive response so far has been overwhelming. Free samples on www.tredoku.blogspot.com but revenues are expected to come from book sales. 
4) Interesting: We Feel Fine – an exploration of the human sentiment on a global scale through recording blog posts that include “I feel” and “I am feeling” in their sentence. The result is stunning.
5) Venture Capital: VCs believe that there are still opportunities in online video. If you’re awesome. Venturebeat has a good summary of the VC panel at New Tee Vee.
6) Gadgets: I’ve always been a big fan of text input startups, after co-founding one a few years back. Israeli startup Grippity came up with an interesting solution for inputting text in a QWERTY layout with no desk needed. Check out the transparent design on Engadget.
7) Philanthropy: there’s a lot of causes that need your donation, and JGooders aims to increase the world of good deeds and good doers. It’s a secured safe place for you to donate, volunteer and network with other philanthropists.
8) Politics: Bibi Netanyahu puts himself to shame by copying Obama’s website one to one. Are there no other CMS templates?
9) Exits: Israeli startup Eurekify was sold to software giant CA. The Raanana based company develops identity and access management (IAM) of user applications and enterprise resource management (ERM) solutions. The terms were not disclosed, but sources estimate the price tag at $30-40 million. The main winners in this deal are Peregrine Ventures who invested less than $1 million in Eurekify during the previous crisis (estimated $7 -$10 returns) as well as the founder Dr. Ron Rymon who started the company in 2002 and CEO Azi Cohen (estimated $10-$15 return).
10) Marketing: Check out UniQlo’s online campaign. Casual could be fancy if you present it in the right way.

11) Israeli animation: Yonder Book is a 120 page long graphical novel created by Amir Barda and Robert Walcott and it tells the story of two kids who own a magic stick that transports them instantly to the point on whatever map it touches. Watch the Yonder video. The book is hitting the stores on thanksgiving 2008 and it will cost $36.95.
12) Fun with Pictures: Snapily is an Israeli startup that lets you do pretty cool things with pictures – create a 3D business card, customize your holiday wrapping paper with a family picture and more. PixiSnap is another picture site worth mentioning – their mosaic and polaroid effects are definitely worth a try!
