When mobile phones started becoming popular, ringtones quickly gained popularity. However, it seems like with smartphones (iPhone/Android) we tend to be more conservative and keep the phone default options for calls, emails or sms notifications. Here is where Pops comes in.
A new Android app founded by veteran Israeli entrepreneur Nir Ofir, Pops enables its users to bring more personalization to mobile notifications with flashy, on screen videos and animations that can be created form the user’s phone pictures or picked from an animations gallery. The app currently supports facebook, twitter, gmail and SMS notifications.
The service is currently in private beta, but you can register your interest here: http://getpo.ps
