AdMob Mobile Analytics is designed to help mobile site owners make decisions based on metrics by providing insights on the standard web metrics: the number of visitors to the mobile site, traffic sources, site usage and engagement, but compared to Google Analytics, Admob’s stats are specific for mobile. The suite provides details on geography, mobile operator and device specifics.
Using Mobile Analytic a site owner can understand how to best build and market his site. For example, a mobile gaming site owner who understands that most of his users come from Singular and use Nokia phones, could cater offers that specifically address his target audience. With the rise of mobile advertising, and the increasing number of wireless device users, I could see this platform becoming quite sticky.
Worth pointing out – the service is ad provider agnostic: users can track campaigns by any provider as well as ad campaigns from AdMob. The service is now in a closed beta, but can sign up here.
