Online games are a huge traffic driver, but the current revenue models are limited. FUN Development Games is an Israeli company that is trying to put a spin on online gaming, by offering site owners the ability to embed a gaming platform on their sites.

To boost platform installs, Fun Dev created Allfun.com,AllFun is a new interactive game application (Checkers, Chess, Go and more). It’s free user-friendly but the selection is quite limited; there are only six games available and the company says it is working on broadening the inventory. Through its propietary .Net platform, site users can play games against each other and participate in a gaming community.

The main difference with other platforms, is a client download requirement, that according to Fun Development Games, creates an “unparalleled user experience” and and removes the requirement to open a browser to play online games. I took a look at the big online game portals such as Big Fish Games and Zango, and I really couldn’t see the benefit of a client install beyond the designated real estate it creates for ads. A non-factor considering that online ads perform better anyway.

In my opinion, the platform idea for site owners is an interesting one, but it has to be backed with a large inventory of games with high quality graphics. Nevertheless, this could be an interesting application for social networks that are looking to get their users a gaming experience.

Fun Games Development is based in Hod a Sharon, Israel and was founded by Avi Kenigsberg and Ran Sibony.
