London is mostly known as the financial capital of Europe. Investment banks, Hedge funds and very wealthy individuals call this place home. Perhaps it’s just more than just that. Judging by the number of tech, media and venture capital events in London – the city’s entrepreneurs and tech community have similar energy to that of the valley.

Global Security Challenge (GSC):On November 13, Six security startups, who were chosen out of hundreds of entrants, will pitch their inventions in this event hosted by London Business School. A Judging Committee comprised of leaders from government, venture capital and industry will select the recipient of the $500,000 grant who will be named the most promising security startup in the world. mashup* – Networking Evening-on the 23rd of October at the BT Centre, members of the mashup* community can network and see company demos free of charge.
