Now, Israeli start up Mobile Pond is bringing the Dashboard experience to the iPhone with iGizmoz. The app, developed by Omer Shoor, went live on the Apple store on November 24th for $0.99 a pop (Click here to download).
iGizmoz lets users access a Widget Dock with 11 widgets: Clock, Search tool, Calendar, Contact, Countdown/Stopwatch, Stickies, Picture Frame, Swinging creature , Tic-tac-toe and a Flashlight. All widgets can be displayed simultaneously and each one is configurable separately. For further personalization, iGizmoz offers 19 bakcground images or the ability to use your own pictures as the background. There’s currently no option to add additional widgets, but you can see the potential here…
Mobile pond has been in business for about a year, and can already claim a fair amount of success. The company is responsible for Photogene, an award-winning photo editing app, picked as one of Apples favorites in the AppStores first year anniversary, winner of PC Magazine editor choice award and featured in OReilly’s Best iPhone apps guide.
