Mobixell Networks Got $6 More Million To Put Ads On You Cell Phone

 Israel and California based Mobixell Networks has announced a $6 million fourth funding round led by Apax Partners, Intel Capital (who also participated in the previous round), and Munich-based SMAC Partners which represents the Venture Capital arm of Siemens corp. Including this last round, Mobixell has raised $29 million to date. The company plans to allocate the proceeds to product development, customer support, sales and marketing.

Mobixell develops advertising and multimedia solutions for mobile carriers and content providers. TV, and advertising products and services. According to the company’s website:

Building on their core multimedia technology, Mobixell has developed a mobile advertising solution that specializes in delivering optimized, high quality, targeted, rich media ads over a variety of delivery channels, and guarantees an optimal user experience regardless of device or network type.

The technology behind Mobixell enables procssesing and optimization of multimedia files including images, audio files, video and MMS on top of cellular networks.

Mobixell is listed as a US corporation, but holds a devlopment center in Israel. In total, the company currently has 120 employees. Mobixell is led by CEO Amir Aharoni who previously served as president and COO of Optibase Ltd.  

Some of Mobixell’s 250 customers include Orange, O2, Universal Music Mobile, and Vodafone (VOD).
