Israel-based E-Mul Technologies, manufacturer of particle detection and field emission components used in nanotech instruments, purchasedIsrael-based QuantomiX, for an undisclosed sum. Quantomix develops WETSEM, a capsule technology that enables direct imaging of wet samples in scanning electron microscopes.
according to the original press release:
WETSEM patented capsule design enables rapid, fully wet nano-scale visualization in biological, pharmaceutical and materials science applications.
QuantomiX was venture backed, having raised around $13.5 million in VC funding since 2001. Evergreen Venture Capital, Pitango Venture Capital, Shrem Fudim Kelner Technolofies and Vitalife Life Sciences Fund can write it off as an exit for 2007.
