Israeli startups in the mobile space are once again showing impressive attendance levels, with 56 Israeli companies exhibiting in the Israeli Pavilion at the 2011 Mobile World Congress [MWC]. For the third consecutive year, VC Cafe puts the spotlight on the Israeli startups presenting at the event.
Viola Private Equity, an Israeli PE fund with $164 million under management for technology buyouts, has announced a $7 million investment in Zend, the leading provider of open-source and commercial solutions based on PHP web applications.

Ephraim Katzir was the 4th president of Israel. His paper, titled "My Contributions to Science and Society" tells Katzir' story as an autobiography intricately enlaced in the story of the state of Israel. The paper not only inspired me, but also gave me context and a sense of proportion.
