Red Herring Global Pictures

My friend sent me the Flickr stream from the Red Herring Conference in Seattle. Good times.

Here are select pictures from the event:

Pensive talk with a VC following a panel on VC investments in Europe.

The panel discussed opportunities for American and Asian companies entering the expanded European Union, which consists of 25 countries and 300 million individuals. Many of the geographical obstacles are removed once a company enters Europe, thanks to the Single European Act. It was interesting to learn about strategies, cultural barriers and diversity in the European market.

space needle

The welcoming reception was next to the Space Needle– it looked great at night. As you know, the needle was built for the 1962 World’s Fair and became one of Seattle’s main tourist attractions.

Welcome cocktail at the Experience Music Project, a wonderful Frank Gehry building and home to the science fiction museum as well. In the picture: Yoav Leitersdorf of YL Ventures and Roy Tuvey of Scansafe.

seattle public library

Seattle’s public library building – interesting structure.

h4o water

One of the refreshments was h4o, a Japanese astronaut-looking Hydrogen-Bonded Water.

For all the pictures see the complete Flickr stream. See also my notes from the conference and a video interview with YL Ventures on previous posts.
