Macabbi Tel Aviv’s New ‘Canadian’ Sponsor

Macabbi Tel Aviv, one of Israel’s largest footbal teams made an official announcement of its new sponsor today – a Canadian financial services company that will provide the company $500K per season. The sponsor is Paygea, a provider of proprietary payment processing services for credit card companies.

Nothing out of the ordinary so far, except that the Israeli press reveals that the company is not exactly ‘Canadian’ -Paygea’s ‘contact us’ page shows the company is located in Gibraltar, the phone numbers are Israeli and the company is registered in the US, not Canada.

Paygea told YNET that it is an international company, operating in eight countries. The company’s main offices are in Montreol and Israel. Sounds Kosher to you?
