Back From Hawaii, Lots of Excitement to Report

Israel Startup Round TableI’m going to resume writing on all the VC and Israeli startup news soon, but first I wanted to share a piece of personal news with you. This past week while on vacation in Hawaii, I asked my long-time girlfriend to be my wife. I’m happy to report she said “Ken!” (yes in Hebrew).

To kick off our wedding preparations, I’ll be in Israel during the week of March 23rd. Inspired by Jeff Pulver and his series of “Breakfasts across America” (and around the world), I’m thrilled to invite you, the readers of VC Cafe, to join me for the first ever “Israeli Startup Roundtable“, for a networking breakfast in in Tel Aviv on the morning of Wednesday, March 26th.

It’s a going to be a power-breakfast, intended for those interested in furthering business opportunities by introductions. If you are an Israeli entrepreneur, startup mastermind, ex-pat, VC or angel, please join us.

For all the details and to RSVP, check out the Facebook Event page. You can also leave a message to introduce yourself at the evolving Crush3r page.

VC Cafe Turns 9

Last week LinkedIn reminded me that it's been 9 years since I started VC Cafe (Dec 2005). Several people sent their congratulations (thank you btw), and it reminded me it's been a while since I blogged regularly. I prefer springing into action rather than being sentimental, but I thought a little summary and a selection of highlights may inspire someone who is thinking about blogging to share their thoughts through this medium.
